Cowee Antenna Replacement Complete

Yesterday, Wednesday, 10/22/25, An antenna replacement project commenced on Cowee Bald to benefit the Franklin 2M machine, GMRS, and DMR repeaters. Antennas had suffered coaxial, and physical damages, or fallen from the tower completely. The DMR Repeater gained about 9 feet in height, while the GMRS has been brought back online altogether. The Franklin 2M machine gained about 40 feet in height, though some ongoing problem still persists for the time being.

The GMRS repeater is now in a "transitional" state with PL Access codes. The new code, and old code work together as the roster is restructered to support the influx of new users we are working to accomadate.

Further, the DMR machine has been moved to high power which has improved building penetration and fringe coverages.
